Children have a million moods….sometimes I think my daughter can have a million a minute. The fact is, kids aren’t always going to be perky and upbeat for their portrait sessions. And ya know what….that is OK. Really, it is. Realize now that there is no plan for your session, that your goal is to capture your child’s spirit and the emotion of the day so that when you look at it tomorrow, next year, and twenty years from now, that image takes you back to that very day. So the only important aspect is that you child be themselves. Whoever that is at the moment.
These little cutie’s were vacationing at the beach. The youngest one, bless his heart, had to be woken up from his nap for the session. He was not to happy about this at all, and he was a bit unsure of things at first. Even giving me one HUGE yawn, which of course I had to capture. But the fact is, we had fun and the portraits are great. He and his brother played in the sand, they ran around in the water…and we got a lot of amazing shots. There were even a few tears which I also captured but that was just a part of the day…and at the end of the day…another memory made. Enjoy all of your moments…they go by so quickly.
