Dancing at the River Front…
Every year at this time I am shooting dance portraits and designing ads for the local dance companies. Of course, for the past 6 years, one of those dancers is my daughter, Maddie. Usually we shoot her portraits at the beach, but this year she wanted to do them at the River Front in Conway, SC. I always love this location. It is natural, authentic, and no matter the subject or occasion, I find it always adds another dimension to portraits that I shoot here. So, this is my own dancer…from train tracks (with a little attitude), to open windows, cabana railings and everything in between. We enjoyed the beauty of the day and of course had a ball with the shoot…which always leads to superb portraits that capture the spirit, and this is a spirit I just happen to love.

Little girls…
I think one of the best things about little girls is their laughter. It starts when they are babies and so far, I haven’t found out if or when it ends. I’m hoping it doesn’t…at least for good anyway. When little girls get together, you can always count on lots of silly giggles and a few LOUD bent over belly laughs. It’s truly infectious and if you are within earshot you can’t help but smile and enjoy their excitement for life and each other. Ok, some people can, but they are just crabby.
This is my daughter Maddie, and one of her best friends, Madison when they were goofing around at the park. If these two are together, you know you are going to be infected with LOTS of giggles and you can see it on their faces. They had fun just being little girls, I loved the giggles and of course, I had to steal a few playful shots.
If you know when the giggling stops, please don’t tell me. I don’t want to know.

Bella, a girl and a jogger….
Passing by us in the park at Market Common this week was a beautiful pup named Bella. She was running with her owner. Of course I had to snap a few of her. The first photo is right after Bella had introduced herself to Maddie with a sloppy wet kiss! What a sweet furry baby. Her owner is pretty nice too, happens to be a great friend and was my daughter’s 2nd grade teacher ; ) We think she may be living in one of the shops or tree’s at Market Common since every time we go we seem to bump into her. This time it was great to be able to meet Bella.
